THE PROJECT

This three-channel art installation immerses visitors in the phonetic power of language.

Interviewees will share personal, stream-of-consciousness memories about family, friendship, and their hometowns in their native languages, without subtitles.

WHY FLOWERS

The Ikebana activity allows interviewees to externalise inner thoughts and memories through a creative, tactile process. This engagement reduces self-consciousness, naturally fostering a more authentic and uninhibited stream of consciousness.

Interviewees are asked to:

  • Share personal memories (family, friendship, home) in their native language.

  • Arrange flowers, inspired by Ikebana, to reflect these stories and emotions.
